چکیده
This paper presents the results of an experimental study on flexural behavior carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) anchorage system strengthened concrete (RC) beams under coupled effects corrosion damage and sustained loading. The test were subjected to combined accelerated in 5% NaCl solution loads for 25, 50 100 days at 0% 50% load levels virgin beam ultimate capacity. failure modes, carrying capacity, deflection, ductility strain response investigated detail. indicated that CFRP systems enhanced yield corrosion-damaged beams. use restored corroded between 87.6% 104.8% 81.9% 92.7% with respect those beam. In contrast, energy absorption index suffered a decline. CFRP-strengthened showed reduction 4.5%–28.9% compared their counterparts without system. Sustained resulted more considerable reductions load-bearing greater loss rebars mass, wider width cracks, indicating significant coupling effect loading damage. Three typical modes observed explained paper, thus revealing mechanism engineering practice system, should be taken into accountant comprehensively.

Analytical Solutions for the Flexural Behavior of Metal Beams Strengthened with Prestressed Unbonded CFRP Plates
Trapezoidal prestressed unbonded retrofit (TPUR) systems have been recently developed and tested. The authors have already developed a comprehensive and accurate analytical solution for the TPUR system that takes many system parameters into account. The main aim of this paper is to develop a simplified analytical solution for predicting the behavior of metal beams that have been strengthened wi...
متن کاملThe Influence of CFRP Anchorage on Achieving Sectional Flexural Capacity of Strengthened Concrete Beams
This research program is intended to verify the influence of using distributed external U-wrap CFRP anchorage to shift the failure mode from overall debonding to sectional flexural failure for concrete beams externally bonded with CFRP sheets. Premature cover delamination and FRP debonding are predominant failure modes in FRP flexural strengthening that may be delayed or prevented by using FRP ...

It is an effective way to improve the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete (RC) members by externally bonded carbon fiber reinforcement polymer (CFRP) laminates on the soffit of the members. However, there is little investigation on flexural performance of RC beam flexurally strengthened by side-bonded FRP laminates. To investigate the flexural behavior of RC beams side-bonded CFRP laminate...

The use of externally bonded Steel-Reinforced Polymer (SRP) and Steel Reinforced Grout (SRG) composites is a promising new technology for increasing the flexural and shear capacities of reinforced concrete (RC) members. The reinforcement system in these composites is a sheet made up of unidirectional cords consisting of tightly wound ultra high strength steel wires. The reinforcement can be mol...
